There are a few options open to Landlords with regard to procuring a deposit or not.
If you wish to accept a deposit we will place this in a Tenancy Deposit Scheme (please see our page on DPS for more information on this scheme) throughout the period of the tenancy - which is usually one month's rent - to be used in the event of rent arrears or loss or damage to the property.
There is also a system whereby a tenant becomes a member of The Just4Let Non-Bond Scheme. No deposit is required and the landlord receives insurance against such things as non-payment of rent, and again against loss or damage to the property. This is funded by the Tenant and NOT the Landlord.
