Stamp Duty Stamp Duty is charged on transfers of property in excess of £60,000. According to the value of the price of property being transferred, it is currently nil for properties sold up to £60,000, 1% of the full price for properties priced between £60,001 and £250,000, 3% for those priced between £250,001 and £500,000, and 4% for those priced above £500,000.
